My (tiny) self-care tips

Jelka Lepever February 8, 2020

Self-care, a very important practice but one we often forget to practice.
It’s easy to get caught up in life. We have goals to reach, deadlines to finish, we need to be social, we need to do this and that - CHAOS -
We’re all living in a little storm of chaos because we all have something to do always. But do we really? And do you need a lot of time to practice self-care?

I can’t stress enough how important it is to take care of your body and mind, mentally and physically. Practicing self-care never ever is a waste of time, it’s investing your time in the rights things, investing in your health! That’s one of the things I get to hear most.. “I don’t have time to cook healthy”, “I don’t have time to be active”, “I don’t have time to meditate”, … The list continues.

Investing your time in your health, by doing things such as practicing self-care, will actually help you on the long run and it will also help you to achieve anything else in life. Even if that means working 10 minutes less, those 10 minutes that you think are a “waste of time”, will actually help you to achieve exactly that want you want because when you’re mentally/physically not strong enough, your body will show sooner or later.

Practicing self-care can be easy and not too time consuming. Here are some of my (tiny) tips on how you can practice self-care;

  • Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables

  • Take care of your gut

  • Turn off your phone, even if it’s just for 10 minutes
